What is renew rate?

What is it and what effect does it hold when changed? Lower/higher better? It seems that at 1440/900 i cant enjoy more then 30 and beside that it say (interlaced) what does all of this scrounging? :\ At lower resolution i can go up to 75 i have an idea that...

Answer:

the refresh rate is roughly how many times per second the monitor updates to show what the computer is currently doing. the slower the liven up rate, the chunkier your picture is and the worse movies and games look. when the refresh rate is sophisticated (45+ is ideal) your whole on-screen experience looks better and is smoother.
strengthen rate is the number of times a second the picture on your monitor is redisplayed. most monitors that i have used are at 60 Hertz at 1280X1024. some populace say that the greater the refresh rate the easier it is to stare at a monitor adjectives day. i dont really know whether or not that is to say true but just food for thought. as for the interlaced point i have no clue
