When i am on my computer for a while the eyeshade starts to turn pink. why is this?

Answer:

are you sure its not your eyes!?
This have to be a glass tube type monitor. Either you enjoy bad joint on the CRT base which is pretty common or the CRT itself is failing. If the problem occur gradually it is the tube but if the colour correct is sudden then it's doomed to failure joints and they obligation resoldering.
Coz your monitor is dying - very adjectives, especially on Compaq monitors
Your monitor CRT tube may be failing, try using with a different monitor
Aye all right, this could be a symptom of your lipstick coming off everytime you kiss the eyeshade. Try covering the screen near the rip off visor covers they use surrounded by motorcycle racing or use a different lipstick. But immediately I wonder what you are seeing on the screen to trademark you wanna kiss it so much.

Of course they could be right too and you have a problem near the RGB signal balance. If you hold one of the old tube monitors consequently it is time to invest in an vigour efficient flat blind anyway.

Have a nice day.
This is more than credible your monitor's crt tube overheating. It could also be a bad nouns on your PC's motherboard at the back. Try unconnecting and reconnecting the monitor organize. You may also have a bug or virus on your system which is cause the screen to transmutation but I doubt it.

The quickest way to check is carry your hands on an elderly monitor or borrow one and see if its ok. Then you'll know. And I wouldb't start messing with the circuitry of any the monitor or PC unless you know what you're doin!!

PS Anyway, I think pink suits you ha ha.
My TV does something similar to that, it medium the screen is worn out and you should consider getting a contemporary one.
