For some reason the winter sport is kicking your refresh rate through the roof. A moral way to fix this brand of problem is to temporarily change your blind resolution before starting the winter sport and then shifting it back when done. To do this, right click on the desktop and click on properties. When the Display Properties fanlight opens, click on the settings tab along the top. Nest drag the slider handrail under Screen Resolution over to 800 x 600 and click OK. Everything on your display should appear larger, don't verbs just start the winter sport. If you don't see the message then lately remember when you finish the game to transfer the resolution back to where on earth you stated from.
