Why does my surge protector sound the horn constantly when I turn it on?

It manner it is not protecting your equipment or you have a unsound ground if it is the ground try it in another outlet beside a ground if it works it is the grounding in the other outlet hold it checked out!! surge protectors only later so long if you had it for awhile I would replace They work by shunting the surge to ground and the MOVS can merely do it so many times
Most of them toot while they are charging, some also while discharging. It indicates it's not a full charge.
Is there a reset button anywhere?
