Why wont my computer blind turn on when i turn on the computer, is it the video card?

only just the screen wont turn on..but the tower runs and everything, only just cant see anything.

Let me add a further suggestion. Is the port where you plug the monitor cable, the one on the vertebrae of your computer, good and tight. If it moves much at adjectives, then your video card have come loose from the AGP/PCI slot.
is the power on for the monitor? I know that may sound stupid but it have happened :o) May not be the video may be the monitor itself. what kind/color of muted is on the monitor? Is it solid or flashing? Green or amber? These all are factor in determining what may be wrong. Hope this help.
Well, make sure that the monitor is plugged into the wall, the monitor is plugged into the PC, and that the power switch to the monitor is within the on position.



For further testing, try your monitor on another computer, or a different monitor on your computer. That should aid to narrow down the problem.
Have you tried the monitor power switch? Check the connectors from the PC to the monitor. Make sure they are snugly connected and turn the screw on the connectors to tighten the connection.
