What is an LCD display?

i ordered a disital camera & it say status LCD display. wat does that meen?

Answer:

LCD stands for liquid-crystal display.

A liquid crystal display (commonly abbreviated LCD) is a tight, flat display device made up of any number of color or monochrome pixels arrayed in front of a muted source or reflector. It is prized by engineers because it uses very small amounts of electric power, and is thus suitable for use in battery-powered electronic devices.
It's the little eyeshade that you can see your pictures on...usually. status LCD display could mean that it a short time ago shows the status of the camera (storage size, battery life span, flash charge) and not the pics.
It is a Liquid Crystal Display . you see it every where, and adjectives laptops have them, when you press against the peak, you will see waves and i.e. the liquid moving, they are surrounded by digital cameras, LCD TVs(not plasma), laptops, ipod, iphone, and like hobby boys, etc.
