What should I do, when my monitor is not responsing by any course?

I be working on my computer, when suddenly the screen flashed within grey and then go completely black, while computer was still running and neutral on the monitor was still green. Nothing happen, I waited and tried to press such buttons close to Esc, Ctrl+Alt+Del, or moving with mouse. Nothing happen, screen be black and did not show anything. I tried pushing all those buttons on the monitor, approaching changing contrast etc, nil showed, screen remained black. I turned past its sell-by date the computer by unplugging. I controlled all the cable, they were adjectives right. My monitor is BenQ and computer AHA. I tried to turn on the computer again, it started, but monitor remained black under any circumstances. I turned it past its sell-by date again by unplugging (How else?). What should I do?

Double confirm your monitor at other machine, if its inexact then its time to buy a bright one.
