I'm wondering what resolutions I can set my computer to so it is within widescreen, similar to 1680 x 1050, just smaller!
Thanks!
Answer:
Any where on earth the larger number divided by 16 then multiplied by 9 is the smaller number.
(i.e. not divided by 4 later multiplied by 3, so 1600x1200 isn't widescreen)
1600x1200. That is what it looks like.
it depends on what your laptop manufacturers chose as the original resolution ! Try them all and see the one that would confer you the full screen and dont forget to install the vga (display ) driver .
Make sure the monitor you are using is setup correctly within the operating system. If the monitor is wide, use the greatest available resolution.
If you use windows, the monitor within the resolution window change as you change the resolution. Use a resolution that shows a monitor explicitly wider (not as square).
If your monitor is square (3x4 or 4x5) most video players will show widescreen movies with the bar on the top and bottom.
