What can I do going on for a monitor that continuously shrinks, horizontally the screen imitation?
I initially doubted the software but when a hefty smash on the monitor case rectify the problem for a minute or two I`m not too sure.
Answer:
If hitting the monitor cleared up the problem, then it's clearly not in the software. I own a hunch that you'd probably better be prepared to spring for a new monitor soon; it will probably cost more to fix an matured monitor than to buy a new one, at today's prices. At most minuscule flat-panel monitors are a LOT less expensive now; I guarantee if you get one, you won't shift back!
check graphics card
You can try the following option
1.Change the refresh rate as possible.
2.It may be problem on monitors circuits .
Its the monitor, the graphics card would be second( i doubt it).
when you hit the monitor the model changed, so therefor its the monitor,i had equal problem but i found that it was the monitor cable which have a loose pin. and the only bearing to replace a CRT monitor cable is to buy a new monitor.
Get it repaired or buy a unmarked one.
Its Donald Ducked!
It sounds like something is wrong next to the monitor itself, probably the capacitor. You can try and get it repaired, but you might be better bad buying a new LCD panel - they are enormously cheap these days.
Throw it out and buy a unmarked one. Its not graphics card.
buy a new monitor
Sounds resembling your monitor is on its way out! it will probably be cheaper to replace it than own it repaired.
